Hands-on Cloud Consultant (Hybrid Azure)
Switzerland
Permanent
Cloud & DevOps
NB: For this role we can only consider consultants who are located in the Zurich (Switzerland) area as you are required to be in the office multiple times per week. Additionally, full professional proficiency in the German language (C1+) is a hard requirement.
Would you like to help build a sovereign cloud platform operated entirely within Switzerland? Would you like to take ownership of automation and optimization across modern Azure environments? Would you like to join a growing DevOps team with international knowledge-sharing opportunities?
My client is currently entering a key scale-up phase for their sovereign cloud operations in Switzerland. One of their biggest challenges is ensuring consistent automation and operational excellence while also managing integrations across two separate Azure environments. This role is vital to setting new standards in a hybrid cloud model, with room to shape tools and practices across borders.
I’m looking for someone who:
- Has at least 5 years of experience in cloud engineering and consultancy.
- Holds an Azure Admin Associate (AZ-104) and Azure DevOps Expert (AZ-400) certification.
- Has hands-on experience with automation and provisioning tools (Ansible, Terraform, Bicep, Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Brings deep knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
- Understands networking, Active Directory, DNS, firewalls, and databases across Azure and on-premises.
- Is comfortable with agile methodologies and collaborative, global DevOps cultures.
- Learns quickly and enjoys sharing expertise with teammates.
Who is interested in:
- Developing and managing the technical capabilities of a Swiss-based cloud ops team.
- Building, maintaining, and scaling a multi-environment Azure cloud platform.
- Creating and improving automation for platform and application deployments.
- Supporting cloud monitoring, incident resolution, and process optimization.
- Sharing best practices across international DevOps communities.
For a company who:
- Can offer a competitive base salary, including a strong pension scheme, learning budgets, flexible work model, and generous vacation policy.
- Operates a sovereign cloud platform exclusively hosted in Switzerland.
- Offers a globally connected, yet locally autonomous DevOps environment.
- Invests in career growth, certifications, and innovation.
We know we ask a lot but encourage you to apply even if you fit 80% of the role.
