We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical expertise in automation and control, specifically focusing on Siemens PCS7 systems. You will be responsible for system implementation, day-to-day support, and continuous improvement initiatives within a GMP manufacturing environment. Additionally, you will act as a technical coach, guiding and developing junior members of the Automation team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for site control systems, ensuring reliability and compliance.
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement projects within automation systems.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to junior engineers, fostering their technical growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address automation support needs.
  • Develop and review User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS).
  • Generate, execute, and review/approve automation test protocols and qualification documents.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors for manufacturing/process control equipment.
  • Author and improve departmental procedures, ensuring best practices are upheld.
  • Oversee automation aspects of capital projects across multiple sites.
  • Drive technical excellence in Siemens PCS7 systems and automation best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • BSc/BEng in Engineering/Technical discipline (or equivalent higher-level education/training).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working with industrial control systems.
  • In-depth understanding of ISPE GAMP 5 guidelines.
  • Prior experience in a GMP manufacturing environment is required.
  • Knowledge of cGMP standards, including 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11, is advantageous.
  • Experience in Operational/IT Infrastructure development, maintenance, and qualification.
  • Strong expertise in Siemens PCS7 system implementation and support.
