Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated HSE Advisor for an 18-month contract opportunity with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Ireland. As a key member of the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees, contractors, and visitors on-site, while supporting the company’s commitment to regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in HSE performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert HSE guidance and support to all departments within the manufacturing facility.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation, standards, and internal policies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify and address potential hazards.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and review of HSE procedures and training programs.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance through regular audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Advise on the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and other safety measures.
- Lead and support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Provide training and coaching to employees on HSE best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with emergency response planning and provide support in the event of an emergency.
- Prepare and maintain detailed HSE reports for senior management.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar HSE Advisor role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and guidelines (national and international).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and audits.
- Experience with incident investigation and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
