Reports To: Director of Sales
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven European Sales Manager to lead sales operations across multiple territories. This role requires a strategic leader with hands-on sales expertise, a deep understanding of the healthcare sector, and the ability to drive growth in a competitive market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, team management, and complex negotiations within the medical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership & Strategy – Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth across European markets.
- Territory & Account Management – Identify new business opportunities, expand market share, and maximize sales potential in key medical specialties.
- Team Management – Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team while also engaging directly in sales activities.
- Healthcare & Medical Expertise – Build strong relationships with clinicians, hospital management, and procurement teams while navigating regulatory processes (e.g., tenders, approvals, compliance).
- Complex Sales & Negotiation – Manage long sales cycles, structure competitive deals, and negotiate contracts effectively.
- Entrepreneurial & Hands-On Approach – Take ownership of challenges, drive solutions, and implement growth strategies without reliance on extensive marketing spend.
- Performance & Reporting – Track sales performance, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Customer & Patient-Centric Focus – Ensure sales strategies align with patient outcomes by influencing key healthcare decision-makers.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in sales leadership within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare sales.
- Strong track record of sales success across multiple European markets.
- Expertise in healthcare sales processes, including regulatory approvals, tenders, and procurement negotiations.
- Ability to lead and manage teams while also engaging directly in sales.
- Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with medical professionals and decision-makers.
- Strategic decision-making capabilities, with confidence in handling high-stakes sales scenarios.
