We are seeking a highly skilled Apache Flink Engineer to join our team here at Evoura and contribute to the development and optimization of our client’s data processing pipelines. As an Apache Flink Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and real-time data processing solutions using Apache Flink.

Core Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to assess their real-time processing requirements, providing technical expertise to bridge the gap between business goals and data engineering solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy Apache Flink applications using the Flink DataStream API to process large volumes of real-time data.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Flink SQL and table APIs.
• Optimize Flink applications for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Flink applications and clusters.
• Work closely with data engineers, scientists, and platform architects to deliver cohesive, scalable solutions that meet business goals.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Apache Flink and big data technologies.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for Flink development.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced consultancy environment with a client-first approach.
• Strong proficiency in Apache Flink, including core concepts, APIs, and best practices.
• Experience with Java or Scala programming languages.
• Experience in event-driven and streaming architectures
• Experience with SQL and data modelling.
• Experience with streaming technologies and platforms such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Google Dataflow, AWS Kinesis and Apache Beam
• Knowledge of data platforms and warehousing technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Flink State Management and CEP.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Contributions to open-source Flink projects
