Electrical Motor Mechanic – Industrial Equipment

$26-$30/hour DOE

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Motor Mechanic to join our industrial field service team. In this hands-on role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electric motors and motor-driven equipment that power cranes, hoists, and material handling systems in industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain AC, DC, servo, and gear motors

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in motors and related equipment

• Rewind, refurbish, or replace motor windings as needed

• Perform preventive maintenance including lubrication, alignment, and vibration analysis

• Install and commission new motors and motor-driven systems

• Work with VFDs, motor starters, and control panels

• Maintain detailed service records and reports

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, LOTO, and NEC safety standards

• Assist in troubleshooting connected systems such as cranes, hoists, and material handling equipment

✅ Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical motor operation and industrial systems

• Hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, servo drives, VFDs, and motor control centers

• Ability to disassemble, repair, rewind, and reassemble motors

• Familiarity with mechanical alignment, bearings, and couplings

• Comfortable working in industrial environments and at heights

• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field service
