Field Service Engineer – Instruments & Controls

The Netherlands

Maintain, repair, inspect, and calibrate instrument and control systems (gas/fire detection, tank gauging, pressure/temperature transmitters) on inland barges, sea-going vessels, and offshore platforms. Report to the Technical Manager.

Responsibilities:

Ensure equipment meets standards; calibrate instruments; test/validate systems; ensure compliance; troubleshoot; install/retrofit systems; perform repairs; maintain records; collaborate on projects; adhere to safety protocols; related tasks.

Requirements:

• Experience with field instruments (gas/fire detection, tank gauging, pressure/temperature transmitters, ODME, UTI, 15PPM, VECS), calibrators, control loop checks/protocols.
• Knowledge of marine industry standards/safety.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Engineering degree/diploma or vocational qualification.
• 3-5 years’ experience preferred.
• Fluent English, Dutch a plus.
• Flexible hours (including out-of-hours work).
• Regional/international travel.
• EU driving license (B).
• Medically fit for offshore/heights.
• Proficient in Google Workspace.
