Software Engineer – Industrial Automation

As a Software Engineer in Industrial Automation, you will independently and collaboratively specify, design, and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for customers in mechanical engineering and the process industry. You will engage frequently with clients and handle project-oriented technical communications. Additionally, you will oversee the on-site commissioning of control systems at customer locations. Your work may involve internal projects and on-site tasks, and you may assist with electrical installations and software engineering queries. This is a diverse and challenging role in a multidisciplinary environment.

What will you do?

• Engage frequently with customers and manage project-related technical communications
• Handle commissioning of control systems at customer locations
• Work both internally and on-site at customer facilities
• Assist with queries related to electrical installations and software engineering when necessary

What do we expect from you?

• Completed higher education in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Experience with project-based work in industrial automation
• Strong knowledge of and experience with PLC systems such as Siemens S7, TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT 2 and 3, and SCADA software
• Knowledge of the ISA-88 standard is an advantage
• Team player with a customer-oriented and multidisciplinary approach
• Proficient in both Dutch and English
