Job Title: Construction Manager – Life Science Project
Location: Belgium
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the execution of a life science project in Belgium. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a complex and highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of the life science construction project, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.

Manage project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and consultants.

Ensure compliance with local and international construction regulations, health & safety standards, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements.

Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective measures as needed.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and key stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with technical specifications and operational needs.

Lead regular site meetings and report on project status to senior management and stakeholders.

Implement and oversee quality control and assurance processes throughout the construction phase.

Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Ensure effective document control and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in construction management, preferably within life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology sectors.

Strong knowledge of GMP, cleanroom construction, and highly regulated environments.

Familiarity with local Belgian construction regulations and permits.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proficiency in project management software and construction management tools.

Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is a strong advantage.
