Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join the team in Munich. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in road and railway construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning:
- Develop detailed design plans for road and railway infrastructure projects, including alignments, grades, and drainage systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates.
- Prepare construction drawings and specifications.
- Construction Supervision:
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design standards and project specifications.
- Monitor progress and quality control.
- Resolve construction issues and coordinate with contractors and subcontractors.
- Site Inspections:
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess project progress and identify potential problems.
- Document site conditions and prepare inspection reports.
- Project Management:
- Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Manage project documentation and reporting.
- Client Liaison:
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Present project updates and reports to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in road and railway construction projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and project management tools.
- Language Skills: Fluent in German (written and spoken). English language skills are advantageous.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of German construction standards and regulations.
