Maritime Sales Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Maritime Sales Engineer to join our team in the Netherlands. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about the maritime industry and with a strong technical background in engineering and sales. You’ll play a key role in building and nurturing relationships with clients, understanding their technical needs, and providing tailored solutions that align with our cutting-edge products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients within the maritime sector, focusing on understanding and meeting their technical and commercial requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance during the pre-sales process, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and addressing client queries.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to ensure client requirements are met in product designs and features.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company policies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activities, and advancements in maritime technology.
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and support.
  • Travel to client sites as necessary for meetings, product demonstrations, and on-site support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales engineering role, preferably within the maritime, shipbuilding, or offshore industries.
  • Strong understanding of maritime products, services, and technologies.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within the Netherlands and occasionally abroad.
