Civil Engineering

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of civil engineering construction projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Oversee all construction activities, including site preparation, excavation, foundation construction, erection of structures, and finishing work.
  • Coordinate and manage the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor safety compliance on the construction site and implement measures to prevent accidents.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Track project progress and identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure that all construction work complies with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Liaise with clients and keep them informed of project progress.
  • Manage and motivate a team of construction workers.
  • Prepare and submit reports to project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in civil engineering projects.
  • Experience in working in Switzerland is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in the use of construction management software.
  • Fluency in German language (Italian is a plus)

Additional Information:

  • A Higher Professional Examination, leading to the title of “Construction Manager in Building Construction and Civil Engineering” is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a plus.
  • A valid Swiss driving license is a plus.
