The mission:
- Maintenance and Repair: Ensure the efficient and effective operation of all electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on board the ship.
- Equipment Optimization: Provide recommendations for upgrading or improving technical equipment.
- Troubleshooting and Reporting: Diagnose technical system issues, report findings to inspectors, and contribute to maximum vessel uptime.
- Cost Management: Manage the ordering, use, and disposal of technical items, bunkers, oil, and water to control costs.
- Winch Operations: Operate winches during towing operations.
- Waste Management: Oversee waste treatment and disposal processes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate maintenance records, manage the planned maintenance system, and generate comprehensive reports.
- Compliance: Ensure that the tractor and its equipment adhere to operational and legal requirements, and that all necessary certificates are up to date.
- Safety: Report unsafe situations and actions to promote a safe working environment and enhance safety awareness.
- Safety Training: Regularly participate in safety exercises.
- Rotation: 14 days on 14 days off

Your profile:
- Education: Graduate of a maritime school.
- Certification: Holds a valid certificate of competence as a Machine Plant Manager (Technical Patent).
- German CoC Endorsement is a requirement.
- Experience: At least one year of experience as a Machine Plant Manager (LdM) in tugboat shipping is preferred.
- Location: Be located in Germany or relatively near to the country.
- Medical and Training: Possesses valid medical certificates and training certificates that meet the requirements of the flag state.
- Technical Knowledge: Has a strong understanding of machine operation, maintenance, and repair.
- Languages: English is a must have, German is a bonus
