Pump Mechanic

Summary:
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various types of pumps used in industrial, commercial, or municipal systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, disassemble, and repair pumps, motors, and related components

• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime

• Align and balance rotating equipment

• Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults

• Maintain accurate service records and follow safety procedures

Requirements:

• Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical maintenance

• Experience with centrifugal, diaphragm, and submersible pumps

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of pump systems

• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals

• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations
