Travel Requirement: 20%+ (regular vessel visits)

Key Responsibilities
* Approve orders for nautical and safety-related materials, spare parts, services,
and repairs in line with the approved budget
* Maintain regular and direct contact with vessels on all nautical and safetyrelated matters
* Conduct and analyze Navigational Audits and ensure adherence to current
maritime safety standards
* Stay fully informed about all changes and updates in nautical operations,
maritime regulations, and safety procedures
* Collaborate closely with the Head of Technical & Nautical Department to
address and resolve significant operational and safety issues
* Ensure readiness and availability of vessels for safe operation in line with ISM,
ISPS, ISO, and MLC standards
Candidate Profile
* Degree or certification as a Nautical Officer at management level, or relevant
experience as a Nautical Superintendent
* Familiar with international maritime codes and regulations, including ISM, ISPS,
ISO, and MLC
* Must have hands-on experience with gas and oil tankers
* Willingness and ability to travel regularly (20% or more) to inspect and oversee
assigned vessels
* Excellent communication skills in both German and English
* Open-minded, flexible, and able to integrate well within a team of experienced
professionals
* Must be based in or open to relocating to Bremen (EU candidates preferred)
Technical Environment
* Fleet includes gas tankers and oil tankers
* Hands-on knowledge of tanker operations is essential
* The role sits within a team of two other Nautical Superintendents and works
closely with the Technical Superintendent group
