My client is a well-known business that offers a wide range of engineering services. They can with projects in designing new buildings, renovating existing structures, building transport infrastructure and developing industrial sites throughout Switzerland.

The Role

My client is seeking a talented Draughtsman/Draughtswoman to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our structural engineers by creating high-quality technical drawings used for construction purposes.

Your Daily Tasks:

• Develop detailed formwork and reinforcement plans: You will interpret engineering calculations and specifications to create clear and accurate drawings for concrete formwork and reinforcement placement.
• Generate material lists: You will be responsible for creating comprehensive lists of materials needed for various construction projects across different sectors, including railroad, residential, industrial, and civil engineering.
• Assist with construction site inspections: You may be involved in site visits to verify the accuracy of construction work and ensure compliance with the approved drawings and specifications.
• Contribute to reinforcement approvals: You will collaborate with engineers to ensure all reinforcement details meet project requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
• Maintain and update project documentation: You will keep project drawings and documentation up to date with any changes or revisions.

Your Qualifications:

• Completed a vocational training program as a Draughtsman EFZ specialising in civil engineering (or equivalent qualification).
• Fluency in German (Written & Oral)
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software is essential.
• Experience in structural engineering drafting is a plus.
• A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are crucial.
• The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team is necessary.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
