The Opportunity

This newly created position offers the chance to design and implement the company’s AI and machine learning vision from the ground up. The successful candidate will lead the development of next-generation computer vision systems, establish best practices for model deployment, and build a compact, high-performing team capable of delivering real-world impact.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role suited to someone who combines technical depth with the ability to shape long-term direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the overall AI and ML roadmap in alignment with company objectives.

• Build, manage, and mentor a small team of high-calibre data scientists and engineers.

• Develop and maintain high-quality, annotated datasets to support advanced computer vision models.

• Oversee the design, training, validation, and deployment of scalable ML pipelines.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and research directions to maintain a competitive edge.

• Establish standards for experimentation, versioning, and performance evaluation.

• Translate research outcomes into measurable business and operational improvements.

Skills & Experience Required

• Demonstrated experience delivering AI/ML projects from concept through to production deployment.

• Strong technical foundation in computer vision, particularly when working with large, complex, or imperfect datasets.

• Proficiency with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent tools.

• Proven ability to make sound technical judgments and identify high-value research opportunities.

• Experience working in early-stage or fast-scaling environments, balancing innovation with delivery.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead through influence and example.
