Position: Compressed Air Service Technician
Location: Iowa Region (covering Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and surrounding areas)
Compensation: $25.00 – $40.00/hour (based on experience and certifications)

A respected and long-standing player in the industrial services sector is looking for a Compressed Air Service Technician to join their field service team in Iowa. This is a full-time, hands-on role that involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of compressed air systems used by manufacturing, production, and industrial clients across the region.

About the Role

As a Service Technician, you’ll be working directly at customer sites, supporting important equipment through routine maintenance and emergency repairs. You’ll serve as a key resource in helping facilities stay operational and efficient-often being the difference between costly downtime and smooth production.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and install rotary screw and reciprocating air compressor systems

• Identify and correct mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues

• Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and service recommendations

• Communicate clearly with customers about equipment performance and proper operation

• Participate in on-call rotation for urgent service requests

• Represent the company professionally while working independently in the field

Your Background

• 3+ years of experience servicing air compressors or similar mechanical systems

• Strong diagnostic and repair skills (mechanical and electrical)

• Self-motivated and dependable with strong time-management skills

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturer-specific training (e.g., Ingersoll Rand, Quincy, Atlas Copco, Kaeser)

• Familiarity with compressor control systems or PLC interfaces

• Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance environments
