Role Overview

We are looking for an IC Designer to join a technology-focused team working at the intersection of CMOS integrated circuits and quantum computing. You will work closely with hardware specialists and collaborate with researchers, engineers, and other technical experts.

Key Responsibilities

• IC Design: Contribute to CMOS IC design projects and help deliver designs within demanding development timelines.

• Cryogenic PDK Development: Develop and maintain cryogenic process design kits (PDKs) for proprietary CMOS technology.

• Collaborate across circuit design, device modeling, layout, verification, and technology development activities.

Required Qualifications

Strong expertise in CMOS circuit design, with experience in at least two of the following areas:

• Advanced analog and mixed-signal design: low-noise circuits, ADC/DACs, PLL/VCOs, sensor interfaces

• RF / high-frequency design: switches, multiplexers, oscillators, matching networks, phase-noise optimization

• Digital integration: custom logic, FSMs, counters, calibration engines, analog/digital co-design

• FDSOI design: body biasing, variability management, wide-temperature and cryogenic operation

• Device physics and layout: mismatch, parasitics, full-custom layout

Programming & Design Automation

Experience with several of the following:

• HDL: Verilog, Verilog-A/AMS

• SPICE: simulation and verification, including Monte Carlo, corner analysis, and device modeling

• Scripting: Python, MATLAB, shell scripting for automation and data analysis

• CAD / PDK: PCell development and PDK customization

• Supporting technologies: C/C++, laboratory interfaces, Git-based development workflows

• PCell creation and parameterization for layout generation

• CAD flow setup, automation, and maintenance

• Professional proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing custom PDKs

• PDK integration and customization, including models, layers, and rule decks

• Device modeling and validation, including DC, RF, and cryogenic characterization

• Development and debugging of LVS/DRC/ERC rule decks

• Knowledge of PCB design and relevant tools

• Experience working in an industrial R&D environment
