Electrical Engineer – Battery Energy Storage

About the Company

The company is building a large decentralized storage network designed to strengthen the grid, integrate more renewable energy, and provide flexibility to industrial customers.

The Role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with a strong medium-voltage and grid connection background to take ownership of the electrical engineering of BESS projects.

You will work from initial concept through to implementation, developing connection, measurement, protection, and system architecture concepts while working closely with grid operators, customers, and technical partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and MV grid connection concepts for BESS and PV projects.

• Define connection, measurement, protection, and control concepts.

• Review and create SLDs, site plans, and electrical diagrams.

• Assess project sites for technical feasibility and grid connectivity.

• Coordinate with grid operators, customers, and engineering partners.

• Support project implementation, commissioning, and certification.

• Help develop internal technical processes and standards.

Your Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or similar; alternatively, Master Electrician / State-Certified Technician.

• 2+ years’ experience in electrical engineering, energy technology, or grid connection.

• Strong knowledge of medium-voltage systems; switching authorization is advantageous.

• Confident working with electrical drawings and SLDs.

• Experience with BESS, PV, renewables, or energy markets is beneficial.

• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.

• Fluent German and good communication skills.

• Entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in the energy transition.
