A global power systems engineering consultancy, part of a leading European TSO group, is seeking a Senior Power System Expert to join its growing Berlin team. The company operates across various continents, delivering high-quality technical and strategic solutions to clients navigating the energy transition. This is a rare opportunity to work on complex, international power system challenges at the frontier of RES integration and grid modernisation.

You will lead and support projects spanning power system operations and security, including load flow and short circuit analysis, dynamic stability studies, grid code compliance, balancing and capacity calculations, and RES integration frameworks. You will also contribute to business development by building trusted client relationships and developing proposals for international mandates. Travel of approximately 30% is expected for international project assignments.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Physics
Years of experience in power system operations and security; leadership responsibilities would be a bonus.
Expertise in RES integration, balancing markets, and system operation
Proficiency in power system simulation tools (PowerFactory, PSS/E)
Fluent English essential; German, Dutch, or French a strong asset
