Senior ServiceNow Technical Consultant – Madrid

Location: Madrid, Spain

Working Model: Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Madrid office

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior ServiceNow Technical Consultant to join a growing ServiceNow team in Madrid.

This is a highly technical, hands-on position for someone who can combine strong ServiceNow development and configuration skills with project delivery, solution design and problem-solving capability.

The ideal candidate will have progressed beyond pure development or configuration and will be comfortable taking ownership of technical solutions, understanding customer requirements and translating them into scalable ServiceNow solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure and develop ServiceNow solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Work across the full lifecycle of ServiceNow projects, from requirements gathering and solution design through to implementation and delivery.
• Develop and configure ServiceNow applications and workflows, ensuring solutions are scalable and aligned with best practices.
• Provide technical input into solution architecture and support the design of complex ServiceNow implementations.
• Work closely with customers, business stakeholders and internal teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify practical solutions.
• Support integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems where required.
• Contribute to technical documentation, solution design and project deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance to other members of the ServiceNow team where appropriate.
• Present technical solutions and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in technical workshops, discovery sessions and customer discussions.

Technical Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• 5+ years of ServiceNow experience, with strong hands-on technical delivery.
• Strong experience across ServiceNow development and configuration.
• Proven experience working on end-to-end ServiceNow projects, rather than purely BAU/support environments.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow scripting and development, including areas such as:
  • Business Rules
  • Script Includes
  • Client Scripts
  • UI Policies
  • REST/SOAP integrations
  • APIs
  • Flow Designer
  • ServiceNow workflows
• Experience with solution design and technical architecture.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical ServiceNow solutions.
• CMS / CSM experience would be highly desirable.
• Good understanding of ServiceNow best practices and platform capabilities.
• Experience working with integrations and third-party applications would be advantageous.

Interview Process

The recruitment process will consist of four stages:

1. Initial Office Introduction

An initial meeting in the Madrid office to introduce the business, meet the team and confirm overall suitability, including location and willingness to work from the office twice per week.

2. Technical Interview

An online discussion covering the ServiceNow environment and a short technical assessment consisting of several focused technical questions.

3. Practical Assignment & Presentation

Successful candidates will receive a practical ServiceNow assignment to complete and present back to the team. This will assess technical capability, problem-solving, solution design and communication skills.

4. Final Discussion

Final conversation covering the offer, start date, employment conditions and any remaining administrative matters.
