Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Tridium / Niagara Engineer to join a major, long-term data centre project in London. This is a 12-month contract role offering a daily rate around £300-£400, working on a large-scale, mission-critical environment with complex BMS and controls systems.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, configuration, commissioning, and ongoing optimisation of Niagara-based BMS solutions across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement Tridium Niagara (Niagara 4) BMS solutions for a large data centre project
- Configure, integrate, and commission BMS systems, including field devices, controllers, and networks
- Develop and maintain graphics, alarms, histories, and dashboards within Niagara
- Integrate third-party systems and protocols (e.g. BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, KNX)
- Support commissioning, testing, and handover activities, ensuring systems meet operational and client requirements
- Diagnose and resolve complex BMS and controls issues on-site
- Work closely with project managers, controls contractors, M&E teams, and client representatives
- Ensure systems are delivered in line with data centre standards, resilience, and best practice
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, as-built records, and commissioning reports
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with Tridium Niagara (Niagara AX / Niagara 4)
- Proven background working on large-scale or mission-critical projects, ideally data centres
- Strong understanding of BMS, HVAC, electrical monitoring, and energy management systems
- Solid experience with BMS integration protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.)
- Experience with commissioning and fault-finding in live environments
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical delivery
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
