Mechanical Project Manager – Data Centre (Contract)

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a contract role on a major data centre project. The successful candidate will manage mechanical services delivery from construction through commissioning, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to data centre standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site delivery of mechanical systems (HVAC, chilled water, pipework, plant)
• Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, CSA, and commissioning teams
• Manage mechanical subcontractors, RAMS, programmes, and progress reporting
• Oversee quality control, inspections, and snagging
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities

Requirements

• Strong mechanical project management experience on data centre or mission-critical projects
• Proven site-based delivery experience
• Good understanding of data centre cooling and resilience concepts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, live construction environment

Contract Details

• Contract / freelance role
• Competitive daily or hourly rate
• Immediate or short-notice start preferred
