Mechanical Project Manager – Data Centre (Contract)
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a contract role on a major data centre project. The successful candidate will manage mechanical services delivery from construction through commissioning, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to data centre standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage site delivery of mechanical systems (HVAC, chilled water, pipework, plant)
- Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, CSA, and commissioning teams
- Manage mechanical subcontractors, RAMS, programmes, and progress reporting
- Oversee quality control, inspections, and snagging
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities
Requirements
- Strong mechanical project management experience on data centre or mission-critical projects
- Proven site-based delivery experience
- Good understanding of data centre cooling and resilience concepts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, live construction environment
Contract Details
- Contract / freelance role
- Competitive daily or hourly rate
- Immediate or short-notice start preferred
