Darwin are currently working with a market leader in Air Technology who are looking for an additional Mechanical / HVAC Service Technician to join their team, based in Amsterdam.

Job Title – HVAC / Mechanical Service Technician

Client Location – Amsterdam, Netherlands

Client Industry – Air Technology

Contract Length – Ongoing contract, 6 months (there is an opportunity to go full time/on the books)

Contract Type – Freelancer

Project Focus

• Commission, troubleshoot and maintain a range of HVAC and air-handling equipment.
• Provide customers with technical guidance and training on the operation of equipment.
• Diagnose technical faults and identify practical solutions based on the customer’s requirements.
• Complete detailed service and intervention reports.
• Carry out equipment upgrades, modifications and retrofits where required.
• Plan and prepare service visits, including travel arrangements and required equipment.
• Maintain tools and technical equipment to a good working standard.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support remotely when required.
• Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for spare parts, upgrades and additional service work.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure service requirements are planned and delivered effectively.

Key Skills and Experience Required

• Previous experience within refrigeration, HVAC, air conditioning or a similar technical environment. (desired)
• Refrigerant handling certification/licence would be an advantage.
• Strong customer service skills with a commercially aware approach.
• Able to work independently, methodically and in an organised manner.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Technical qualification or education in HVAC, air conditioning, refrigeration, automation or a related discipline
• Would be beneficial, although relevant practical experience will also be considered.
• Technical English would be advantageous but is not essential.
