Darwin Space are currently hiring for a Senior Thermal Engineer on behalf of a business in Luxembourg.

Responsibilities

* Contribute to the development of various subsystems with your thermal expertise (incl. design, analysis and testing) during all development phases.

* Collaborate with engineers of other disciplines to derive requirements that drive the thermal design.

* Create thermal models and perform analysis to predict the thermal behavior of hardware in different operating conditions.

* Develop test plans and procedures for thermal (vacuum) testing to verify compliance with requirements.

* Conduct TVAC testing.

* Derive test predictions and analyze test data. Derive recommendations for the further development of the hardware.

* Support manufacturing, assembly and integration of thermal hardware.

* Write analysis, design and testing reports.

* Creating documents for different reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.).

* Own your subsystems.

Qualifications

* Relevant degree in aerospace, mechanical, automotive or related discipline

* 5+ years of work in thermal engineering.

* Proven experience in thermal analysis, design and testing.

* Proficiency in at least one thermal analysis software (e.g. ESATAN, Thermica, etc.)

* Strong understanding of heat transfer principles and thermodynamics

* Experience in using CAD software (e.g. Solidworks, CATIA, NX, etc.)

* Hands-on experience in the application of heat transportation technologies (e.g. heat pipes, loop heat pipes, pumped fluid loops, etc.)

* Ability and desire to relocate to Luxembourg.
