Lead ML Engineer – UAV Defence Scale-up – Europe

Darwin Recruitment have partnered exclusively with a true leader in the Autonomous UAV sector across Europe.

We’ve already helped them to scale-up their AI teams and they are not slowing down!

They now have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to lead a growing team of Engineers with the focus of designing, developing and deploying ML models that underpin their real time intelligence UAV solutions.

This will (at least initially) be a 50/50 hands on vs leadership/strategy role. Previous tech / team leadership of small to medium size teams is a MUST.

Flat structure without all the politics that get in the way, you will be able to truly have a seat at the table and influence strategic decision making.

Experience of Interest:

• Bachelors, Masters or PHD in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics or similar.
• Industry experience of ideally 5+ years within ML development/ML Ops.
• Tech & Team leadership of small to medium size teams.
• Experience of the UAV/Drone/Autonomous Systems/Embedded Systems/Robotics sector.
• Python, C++, Java or Rust.
• TensorFlow, TensorFlow Lite, TensorRT, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn.
• Software Development best practices (CI/CD, DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with Cloud environments (AWS, GCP etc.).

Pay depends on location and experience, however we’re looking at a range from €100,000 to €120,000 + benefits.
