Reports To: VP, Commercial Sales

Position Summary

The Product Manager supports the commercial segment by working closely with sales teams, customers, and an international supplier network to drive product strategy, revenue growth, and new product development.

This role provides strong product and sales support, manages projects across the full product lifecycle, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure successful execution. The position also represents the organisation within the wider industry.

Key Responsibilities

– Drive revenue growth for assigned product lines by identifying new markets and opportunities

– Partner with internal and external sales teams to provide product expertise and support

– Act as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders

– Manage the sales pipeline, including quoting, order flow, and closing key opportunities

– Develop and implement pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability

– Deliver high-quality customer support while maintaining strong relationships

– Train sales teams on product features, positioning, and competitive advantages

– Support development of marketing materials and initiatives (digital, content, social)

– Communicate product updates, priorities, and opportunities across teams

– Analyse market trends, competitors, and performance to refine strategy

– Manage multiple projects from concept through delivery and lifecycle support

– Collaborate with customers, engineers, vendors, and internal teams

– Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and business planning

– Represent the organisation at industry events and trade shows

– Identify process improvements and implement solutions to support growth

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

– Revenue growth and profitability of product lines

– Pipeline development and conversion rates

– Accuracy and timeliness of quotes and order processing

– Customer satisfaction and responsiveness

– Sales engagement and product adoption

– Pricing effectiveness and margin performance

– Delivery and execution of projects across the lifecycle

– Quality of product training and support materials

– Identification and execution of new market opportunities

– Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder feedback

Qualifications & Experience

– Experience in sales and/or product management within the marine sector or a related industry

– Proven ability to secure business through a consultative, customer-focused approach

– Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

– Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Office 365

– Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes

– Strong technical foundation (engineering background preferred)

– CAD experience is advantageous
