Application Security Specialist / DevSecOps Engineer – Remote (Europe) – 6-Month Contract

We’re looking for an experienced Application Security Specialist / DevSecOps Engineer to join a rapidly growing European SaaS business. This role will work closely with software engineering and DevOps teams to embed secure development practices into AI-assisted engineering workflows, enabling teams to move quickly and safely within AWS cloud-native environments.

Project Focus:

• Consolidation of multiple acquired platforms into a scalable cloud-native platform
• Development of AI-enabled products and workflows
• Modernisation of engineering practices across Europe
• Embedding security practices directly into software engineering pipelines (hands-on)
• Focus on enablement over governance

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• Strong background in Application Security, Product Security, or DevSecOps
• Hands-on experience securing cloud-native applications and CI/CD environments within AWS
• Integrating automated security testing into engineering pipelines
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor
• Strong understanding of security risks associated with AI-generated code and agentic workflows
• Conducting collaborative code reviews and advising engineering teams on secure coding practices
• Embedding security controls into developer workflows without slowing delivery
• Familiarity with containerized or modern platform engineering environments
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, and modern software delivery practices
• Previous software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering experience preferred
• Comfortable in fast-moving product or scale-up environments
• Strong communication skills, able to influence engineering teams and stakeholders
