Project focus
Support the successful separation and migration of two newly acquired schools into a leading international education group’s IT environment.
Act as the onsite technical representative, working closely with the incumbent IT team, school leadership, and key stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition across infrastructure, cloud, and end-user environments.
Lead and coordinate critical migration activities including user devices, domain transitions, network infrastructure, Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, applications, databases, storage, and security services.
Review and execute project plans, manage stakeholder expectations, mitigate risks, and ensure delivery against key project milestones within an accelerated programme timeline.
Provide both technical expertise and local project coordination to support a successful IT carve-out and integration initiative.
Key skills and experience required
- Proven experience delivering IT separation, carve-out, migration, or post-acquisition integration projects
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration and migration experience
- Expertise in domain migrations and Active Directory environments
- Solid background in network engineering and infrastructure transitions
- Strong Azure administration and cloud migration experience
- Experience with cloud reconfiguration and hybrid environments
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is advantageous
- Experience with data migration, storage solutions, and database environments
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, firewall technologies, and security controls
- Experience managing end-user device migrations and deployments
- Ability to review, challenge, and execute technical project plans
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable operating independently within a customer-facing environment
Candidate profile
- Fluent German speaker (essential)
- Based in or within commuting distance of Munich or Kaiserslautern
- Professional and confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Able to represent the client professionally in an onsite capacity
- Education sector experience would be considered a significant advantage
Contract details
- Immediate start available
- 40 hours per week
- Onsite presence required throughout key phases of the project
- Potentially up to 5 days per week onsite during critical migration activities
