UKG TeleStaff Consultant

Location: Fully Remote

We are looking for an experienced UKG TeleStaff Consultant to deliver hands-on consulting, implementation, configuration, and optimization services across complex 24/7 workforce environments.

This is a hands-on consulting role for someone who can not only configure and implement UKG TeleStaff but also provide guidance and best-practice recommendations around the client’s existing system.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support UKG TeleStaff implementations, configurations, and enhancements.
• Assess the client’s existing TeleStaff environment and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Provide hands-on configuration across scheduling, staffing, bidding, notifications, and related functionality.
• Support complex 24/7 workforce scheduling, including shift rotations, Kelly Days, roster coverage, and staffing requirements.
• Configure and optimize shift, vacation, and overtime bidding based on organizational rules, seniority, and business requirements.
• Provide guidance around labor rules, union agreements, compliance requirements, and employee qualifications/certifications.
• Configure and support automated notifications, open-shift management, shift swaps, and backfilling processes.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate them into effective TeleStaff solutions.
• Provide recommendations and best practices to improve the client’s existing TeleStaff setup.
• Troubleshoot configuration and system issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Support knowledge transfer and provide guidance to internal teams where required.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with UKG TeleStaff.
• Proven experience configuring and/or implementing TeleStaff in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of 24/7 workforce scheduling and public safety workforce requirements.
• Experience working with complex shift patterns, rotations, bidding, overtime, and staffing rules.
• Understanding of automated backfilling, shift swaps, notifications, and coverage management.
• Ability to assess an existing TeleStaff environment and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of TeleStaff-related initiatives.

Preferred Background

Experience supporting TeleStaff within one or more of the following environments would be highly beneficial:

• Fire & Rescue
• Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
• Police / Law Enforcement
• Corrections
• Other 24/7 emergency or public safety organizations

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be more than someone who has simply worked around TeleStaff. Hands-on implementation and configuration experience is essential, along with the ability to step into an existing environment, understand how it is currently being used, and provide expert guidance on how to improve it.

This is an excellent opportunity for a UKG TeleStaff Consultant who enjoys combining hands-on technical/configuration work with consulting and advisory responsibilities.
