Senior Azure Security Engineer – Middle East – Remote – Freelance

Location: Remote (must be based in the Middle East)
Duration: Contract through the end of June
Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an Azure Security Engineer to support the design and implementation of secure cloud architecture within a DevOps-driven environment. You will work closely with DevOps teams to implement security controls across Azure infrastructure and integrate security capabilities into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the creation of cloud security architecture diagrams.
* Assist with implementing and testing security architecture within Azure environments.
* Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
* Implement security controls across cloud and containerised environments.
* Support best practices around IAM, authentication, authorization, and network security.

Skills & Experience

* Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (AKS, IaaS, Azure AD, Azure SQL, Data Lake).
* Experience with AWS environments.
* Experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins.
* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
* Knowledge of cloud security architecture, IAM, and firewalls.
* Scripting/programming experience such as Python, JavaScript, C#, Bash, PowerShell, or Bicep.
* Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, or Cosmos DB.
