Senior IT Cost Transparency Consultant (ITFM) | Portugal | Hybrid | Freelance
Darwin Recruitment is supporting a global manufacturing organisation on a strategic IT Cost Transparency programme. We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Financial Management (ITFM) Consultant to analyse complex IT operating costs, outsourcing agreements and managed service contracts, providing executive-level insights that will drive a long-term cost optimisation programme.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an initial assessment phase with a strong likelihood of extension into a larger optimisation programme.
Location – Portugal (Hybrid) – Occasional travel to Coimbra (Porto/ Lisbon candidates are being considered)
Contract Length – 3 Months + 6 month Extension
Start Date – October 2026
Language -English Required, Japanese advantageous but not essential
Rate – Competitive (€€€)
Must-Have Skills
- IT Financial Management (ITFM) – 5+ years
- IT Cost Transparency / Cost Analysis – 5+ years
- IT Outsourcing & Managed Service Contract Analysis – 3+ years
- Executive Stakeholder Management – 5+ years
Responsibilities
- Analyse IT operating costs, service contracts and vendor agreements.
- Build a complete picture of IT cost allocation across infrastructure, applications and managed services.
- Conduct workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
- Identify cost drivers, inefficiencies and optimisation opportunities.
- Produce executive-level reports and recommendations.
- Support the client in establishing a long-term IT cost optimisation strategy.
