EHS Manager
Mission Critical Construction | Austin, TX
A leading U.S. mission critical construction and engineering firm is seeking an EHS Manager to oversee safety operations across large-scale hyperscale data center construction projects in Austin, Texas. This role will support complex electrical, mechanical, and critical infrastructure environments on fast-paced construction programs.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience within mission critical, industrial, or large commercial construction projects, particularly from a General Contractor, Electrical Contractor, or Mechanical Contractor background.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site-wide EHS performance across active construction projects
- Manage safety programs for subcontractors and field teams
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Ensure OSHA and client safety compliance standards are maintained
- Lead incident investigations and corrective action processes
- Drive proactive safety culture and behavioral safety initiatives
- Support permitting and high-risk work activities including LOTO, energized work, and confined space
- Partner closely with project leadership and construction teams
- Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training
- Maintain EHS documentation, reporting, and compliance records
Preferred Experience
- Construction safety experience
- Mission critical or data center construction experience preferred
- Strong background within MEP-heavy construction environments
- Experience working for a GC, Electrical Contractor, or Mechanical Contractor
- OSHA 30 required
- CSP, CHST, ASP, or equivalent certifications preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills in fast-paced project environments
