Mission Operations Specialist
We are seeking a full-time Mission Operations Specialist to support a growing aerospace mission operations program. This role will contribute across training, safety, flight testing, mission planning, payload integration, and operational continuity for a high-altitude airborne platform.
The specialist will work cross-functionally with mission operations, engineering, software, and assembly teams to support the design, build, testing, and operation of next-generation aerospace systems. Responsibilities include supporting pre-flight planning, console operations during missions, and post-mission data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Support mission planning and resource coordination for concurrent flight operations and test campaigns

Assist in improving test workflows, documentation processes, and data handling pipelines

Contribute to payload integration efforts by translating technical requirements into operational constraints

Support on-site flight test campaigns and operational activities

Assist in developing and maintaining Concepts of Operations (CONOPs)

Monitor and communicate critical airspace and mission planning information, including NOTAMs, TFRs, and restricted/special use airspace

Support development, deployment, and maintenance of situational awareness tools to enhance real-time mission visibility

Assist with maintaining training records and tracking qualification status

Help develop and update training materials, incorporating lessons learned from testing and live operations

Support safety inspections of facilities and equipment and maintain Safety Management System documentation

Assist in managing the lifecycle of flight procedures, ensuring accuracy, version control, and proper release
Required Qualifications
-
4+ years of professional experience in aerospace ground and/or flight operations

Demonstrated experience planning and executing integrated ground and/or flight operations
-
Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Familiarity with hazard analysis methodologies and risk mitigation processes

Ability to author, maintain, and distribute operational documentation effectively

Detail-oriented and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills

Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams
