Site Manager – Spain
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of industrial renewable energy projects across Spain. You will be responsible for managing all on-site activities from pre-installation through commissioning and final handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal project teams, you will coordinate day-to-day site operations while maintaining a strong focus on health & safety, quality and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Installation
- Develop installation and commissioning plans alongside the project team.
- Ensure site readiness, including access, logistics, utilities and safety requirements.
- Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with suppliers and engineering teams where required.
- Coordinate site mobilisation and resource planning.
Installation & Commissioning
- Manage all on-site installation and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal engineering teams.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with technical drawings, project documentation and agreed specifications.
- Monitor project progress and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Ensure accurate site documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Handover & Operational Readiness
- Support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Ensure all outstanding issues are resolved prior to project handover.
- Deliver complete project documentation for operations and service teams.
- Support post-installation optimisation and commissioning activities where required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager or similar role within industrial, mechanical, energy or renewable projects.
- Experience coordinating contractors and suppliers on construction or industrial sites.
- Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical and civil engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of commissioning processes and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Strong understanding of site health & safety procedures.
- Excellent planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent Spanish and English communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Spain.
