We are recruiting an Electrical Technician specializing in Electrical Heat Tracing (EHT) for an industrial project based in Zaandam.

This position centers on the electrical connection, inspection, testing, and commissioning of heat tracing systems. You will not be pulling or laying tracing cables. Your core responsibility is ensuring completed installations are correctly connected, thoroughly tested, documented, and ready for handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Connect and terminate electrical heat tracing systems across industrial equipment and piping.

• Perform insulation resistance testing (Megger testing) across circuits and components.

• Verify installations for strict compliance with technical drawings and safety standards.

• Support loop checks, commissioning, and system start-up activities.

• Accurately document and record test results and inspection reports for project handover.

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults and wiring issues.

• Maintain rigorous site safety standards throughout all operations.

Requirements

• Recognized qualification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electricity, or a related field.

• Proven experience in industrial electrical installations, testing, and commissioning.

• Direct hands-on experience performing Megger / insulation resistance tests.

• Valid VCA certification.

• Valid NEN 3140 certification.

• Professional working proficiency in English (Dutch proficiency is a bonus).

• Available on short notice.

• Valid work authorization for the Netherlands / EU.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience with Electrical Heat Tracing / Trace Heating systems.

• Background in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Food Processing, or Industrial Utilities.

• Experience on broader E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) projects.
