Job Title: RF / WLAN Consultant
Our client is seeking an experienced RF / WLAN Consultant to support a multi-phase consulting engagement focused on diagnosing and optimising Wi-Fi performance issues within a consumer streaming hardware product.
Project Brief: Analyse existing Wi-Fi chip and antenna performance issues, reviewing current hardware design, antenna placement, firmware adaptations, and certification results. The objective is to identify root causes of inconsistent Wi-Fi performance at specific distances and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
Must-Have Experience
- Senior-level expertise in RF, WLAN, and antenna design for consumer electronics
- Proven experience diagnosing Wi-Fi performance and range issues (chipset, antenna, interference, firmware interaction)
- Strong understanding of hardware-firmware interaction impacting wireless performance
- Ability to operate independently in a consultative, advisory role
Engagement Type – Consulting
Location – Germany (working remotely/ in your own lab)
Start Date – ASAP
