For the Field Service department, we are seeking a driven field service technician who, together with the existing team of Service employees, Engineers, and Project Managers, will take on the challenge of performing maintenance on our onboard ship installations within the field of refrigeration and air conditioning. You will work in a dynamic environment where you will be part of a project team for submarines, surface vessels, and yachts, from design to commissioning.

These are your duties

As a Field Service Engineer, you are the person in charge. These can be smaller assignments domestically and abroad, mostly at marine and yacht building companies, where you apply all your Electrical, Mechanical, and Refrigeration knowledge to solve problems. However, they can also be larger new build, modification, or retrofit projects where you (eventually) take charge of supervising the execution on-site, but are also eager to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty.

  • Efficiently resolving malfunctions, starting up and checking (refrigeration) systems and machines
  • Performing maintenance on the installations
  • Advising the client on use, maintenance, repairs, and risks
  • Preparing reports for both the client and internally to realize process and/or product improvement

What do you get in return?

  • A salary commensurate with your experience and position.
  • 8% holiday allowance, profit sharing, reimbursement for commuting, and an excellent pension scheme.
  • 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days
  • We have an active employee association, company fitness and a lease bike scheme, and discounts on various (health) insurance policies.
  • Career advancement and training opportunities
  • Stable, growing, and financially healthy employer

What do you need for that?

  • Working and thinking level MBO Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics
  • Strong affinity with Mechanical Engineering, particularly in refrigeration technology
  • STEK diploma or F-gas certificate, or willingness to obtain one English and Dutch (written and spoken)
  • Able to operate independently and seeks collaboration where desired
  • You are capable of preparing well, both technically and administratively.
  • You document and report matters well.

Where will you be working?

You will be working in Hattemerbroek for the Naval Technologies department. The work also takes place outside office hours and on weekends. Due to the nature of the work, you will be away from home for at least 75% of the working time, both domestically and abroad.
