Head of Data Platform – DefenseTech – Portugal

Darwin have partnered with a start-up who are experiencing huge growth, having established themselves as a leader within their field providing critical technology for Defense & Security applications.

They are now looking to hire a pivotal role for the organisation, a Head of Data Platform who will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of data infrastructure, pipelines and Data & AI platform.

You would lead and build a high-performance team of Data Architects and Data Engineers to ensure the platform is robust and scalable and secure.

Experience of Interest

• Proven track record as a leader of successful Data Platform teams.
• Data Platform Architecture exp. (Lambda, Data Mesh etc.)
• Big Data, DWH & Real-time expertise (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, Redshift)
• Cloud – Ideally GCP exp., however Azure or AWS is not an issue.
• Sound knowledge of DevOps best practice (Git, CICD).
• Industry experience within Defense, Aviation/Aerospace, Robotics or Autonomous Systems beneficial.

Pay circa €100,000 – €120,000 + 20% bonus, to be based in Portugal with a presence at either their Porto or Lisbon site. Hybrid/Remote flexibility available.
