Senior Machine Learning Engineer – DefenseTech Startup – Netherlands, Delft

Darwin have partnered exclusively with a Dutch defense-tech scale-up developing advanced sensing and detection technology for demanding real-world environments. With strong government partnerships already in place, they are scaling their engineering team ahead of a Series A close.

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer you will own the full machine learning lifecycle – from data acquisition and model development through to deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization – building production-ready AI solutions at the core of an advanced sensing platform.

Experience of Interest

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, AI, Data Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years experience developing and deploying production-grade machine learning solutions.
• Strong Python skills and experience with modern ML frameworks.
• Solid experience with data engineering, ML pipelines, model deployment and MLOps practices.
• Background in audio processing, acoustics, signal processing or sensor-based systems is a strong plus.
• Startup, scale-up or deep-tech environment experience highly valued.
• Strong English communication skills; Dutch is a plus.

Pay €5,000 – €7,000/month + 8% holiday allowance + equity (post Series A). On-site, Delft, Netherlands.
