We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on HVAC Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in Siemens Building Management Systems (BMS) to support a major project in Portugal. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a site-based, practical environment and can take ownership of HVAC system delivery, commissioning, and optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems on-site
• Integrate HVAC equipment with Siemens BMS platforms, ensuring seamless operation
• Carry out system testing, validation, and performance optimisation
• Interpret mechanical and control schematics, ensuring compliance with project specifications
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, controls, and project management
• Diagnose and resolve complex system faults in real time
• Provide technical support and guidance during project execution and handover
• Ensure all work complies with local regulations, safety standards, and project requirements

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer within HVAC systems (essential)
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens BMS (e.g., Desigo, Apogee, or similar platforms)
• Demonstrated experience in commissioning and integrating HVAC systems with BMS controls
• Ability to work independently on-site and manage technical challenges proactively
• Strong understanding of HVAC design principles, controls, and energy efficiency
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Availability to work in Portugal for the duration of the contract

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience on large-scale mission critical projects
• Knowledge of Portuguese regulations and standards
• Multilingual ability (English required; Portuguese advantageous)
