Our client is seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to join its Project Controls team, supporting a large-scale mission critical/data centre construction project. The role focuses on project controls, Primavera P6, construction scheduling, progress monitoring, schedule reporting, change management, delay analysis and time impact assessment.

Project focus
Support the project controls and delivery of a large, multi-building data centre/mission critical construction project. The role will develop and maintain the project programme in coordination with the project team and subcontractors, establish and monitor schedule activities, track engineering, procurement and construction progress, analyse schedule performance and variances, prepare periodic and monthly schedule reports, support project invoicing, manage potential changes and assess their impact on the programme.
Key skills and Experience required
- Strong hands-on proficiency with Primavera P6
- Advanced knowledge of construction planning, scheduling methodologies and Critical Path Method (CPM) principles
- Experience developing, maintaining and updating construction programmes in collaboration with project teams and subcontractors
- Ability to analyse schedule updates, progress, variances, delays, changes, logic, durations and project constraints
- Experience monitoring engineering, preconstruction, procurement and construction activities and accurately incorporating progress into project schedules
- Experience supporting project invoicing through accurate schedule and progress reporting
- Experience identifying, tracking and documenting potential changes and assessing their impact on the project programme
- Experience developing schedule frag nets and Time Impact Analyses (TIA) to demonstrate and assess schedule delays
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path analysis and schedule performance
- Ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, clients and wider project team
