Expert Towers Projects Calculations Engineer (DRWN)

Project focus

Our client, a major transmission system operator in Belgium, is expanding and modernising its high-voltage electricity network (36kV-380kV). This role sits within the Grid Solutions engineering division and focuses on the structural design and calculation of high-voltage transmission towers, covering both new-build structures and modifications to existing infrastructure across large-scale grid projects.

Key skills and Experience required

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture or Physics
• Proven experience designing steel structures
• Hands-on experience with 3D design software and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Strong working knowledge of Eurocodes and relevant structural engineering standards
• Comfortable leading structural studies and providing technical guidance to internal designers and external consultancies
• Experience preparing technical tender documentation and supporting procurement
• Fluent in Dutch or French, with basic knowledge of the other Belgian national language, plus good spoken and written English
