A rapidly growing compressed air distribution and service organization is seeking an experienced Rotary Screw Service Technician to support customers in the Southern Illinois region. The company specializes in rotary and centrifugal equipment, providing reliable service, technical excellence, and long-term customer partnerships.

Role Overview

This is a senior-level field service position focused on troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing rotary screw compressors and related compressed air equipment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for solving problems in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair rotary screw compressors, air dryers, filtration equipment, and related compressed air systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance as well as emergency service support
  • Conduct start-up, commissioning, and system performance testing
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less-experienced technicians
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including service reports and parts usage
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding service findings and recommendations
  • Support internal improvement initiatives and best practices

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of field service experience in compressed air systems, with emphasis on rotary screw compressors
  • OEM factory training certificates strongly preferred
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting background
  • Refrigeration/HVAC experience or training is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with travel capability
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and attentive to detail
