A rapidly growing compressed air distribution and service organization is seeking an experienced Rotary Screw Service Technician to support customers in the Southern Illinois region. Role Overview
This is a senior-level field service position focused on troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing rotary screw compressors and related compressed air equipment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for solving problems in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair rotary screw compressors, air dryers, filtration equipment, and related compressed air systems
- Perform preventive maintenance as well as emergency service support
- Conduct start-up, commissioning, and system performance testing
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less-experienced technicians
- Maintain accurate documentation, including service reports and parts usage
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding service findings and recommendations
- Support internal improvement initiatives and best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of field service experience in compressed air systems, with emphasis on rotary screw compressors
- OEM factory training certificates strongly preferred
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting background
- Refrigeration/HVAC experience or training is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with travel capability
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Highly organized, self-directed, and attentive to detail
