What maritime recruitment services does Darwin offer?

Darwin Recruitment specialises in sourcing permanent and contract maritime professionals, including naval architects, marine engineers, offshore specialists, classification surveyors, and maritime project managers. We serve shipbuilders, ship operators, classification societies, and maritime consultancies across Europe and globally.

Does Darwin Recruitment work with both commercial and defence maritime sectors?

Yes. Our maritime team works across both commercial shipping and defence maritime, placing professionals in roles spanning vessel design, propulsion, offshore operations, maritime safety, and naval engineering. We also work closely with our Darwin Defence team for roles that overlap both sectors.

Can Darwin source maritime contractors for short-term projects?

Yes. We regularly place maritime contractors on project-specific and fixed-term engagements. Our consultants maintain active networks of experienced maritime professionals who are available for contract work, allowing us to respond quickly to urgent or time-sensitive requirements.

Does Darwin Recruitment help with international maritime hiring?

Yes. Maritime is a global industry, and our reach reflects that. We place professionals across multiple countries and can support businesses hiring in multiple jurisdictions through our Employer of Record and contract recruitment services, handling all compliance requirements in each location.

How does Darwin find passive maritime candidates?

Our maritime consultants build long-term relationships with professionals throughout the sector, including those who are not actively looking for new roles. This gives us access to highly experienced candidates who would never appear on a job board — a significant advantage in a sector where specialist talent is scarce.
