Overview:
My customer is seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Manager to oversee all HSE-related activities for the duration of the project. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all project-specific safety requirements, statutory regulations, and client standards while promoting a strong safety culture across all site operations.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in construction HSE management, supervision, and inspection
- Proven experience in Pharma/Biotech and GMP cleanroom environments
- Hands-on, team-oriented approach with experience working in construction teams (CM/SQM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor all HSE requirements in accordance with the contract and project HSE plans.
- Identify, assess, and manage site-specific hazards and ensure safe work practices.
- Prepare and maintain documentation including work permits, JSAs, HSE returns, and toolbox talks.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and include HSE as a standing agenda item in all management discussions.
- Ensure all personnel are trained and equipped with appropriate PPE.
- Manage onboarding and induction processes for new site personnel.
- Maintain and update training matrices; advise on HSE training requirements.
- Provide weekly HSE performance reports based on project KPIs.
- Participate in client and contractor safety meetings, including red helmet meetings.
- Support client initiatives such as quarterly safety equipment checks, health and wellbeing programs, and awareness campaigns.
- Take ownership of HSE performance, continuous improvement, and documentation control (approximately 50% of work time).
