EHS / Senior EHS Specialist

A leading U.S. mission critical construction and engineering firm is seeking an EHS / Senior EHS Specialist to support large-scale hyperscale data center projects in Austin, Texas. This role will support high-profile fast-track construction projects within complex electrical and mechanical environments.

The ideal candidate will come from a General Contractor, Electrical Contractor, or Mechanical Contractor background with strong experience managing safety within mission critical, industrial, or large commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily site EHS operations across active construction projects
• Conduct audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
• Lead toolbox talks, orientations, and safety training
• Ensure OSHA compliance and client safety standards are maintained
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and accountability
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and corrective actions
• Assist with permitting, JHAs, lockout/tagout, hot work, and high-risk activities
• Partner closely with project management, field supervision, and trade partners
• Maintain accurate EHS documentation and reporting
• Promote a proactive safety culture across site operations

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years for EHS Specialist
• 8+ years for Senior EHS Specialist
• Mission critical or data center construction experience preferred
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical construction safety
• Experience working for a GC, Electrical, or Mechanical Contractor
• OSHA 30 required
• CSP, CHST, ASP, or equivalent certifications preferred
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure construction environments
