About the Role
Seeking a highly experienced Blade Repair Crew Lead to take ownership of field operations, lead small teams, and ensure the safe and efficient execution of composite blade repairs on wind turbines.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise blade repair crews (2-6 technicians) on field projects across multiple sites.

Perform complex composite repairs including sanding, grinding, lamination, vacuum bagging, injection, and post-curing.

Interpret and execute repair plans, scope of work, and customer-specific procedures.

Conduct job site safety briefings, enforce safety compliance, and maintain high-quality standards.

Coordinate logistics, tooling, and materials required for job completion.

Act as the primary point of contact for field issues, communicating with project managers and clients.

Train junior technicians and ensure repair procedures align with OEM and internal quality guidelines.

Document repair work thoroughly using digital reporting tools and photo logs.
Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of blade repair experience in the wind industry (onshore or offshore).

Prior experience as a team lead, foreman, or senior technician managing small crews.

Expertise in composite materials, fiberglass/carbon fiber layups, and epoxy/polyester resin systems.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
Preferred:

OEM training certifications (e.g., LM, GE, Vestas, Siemens).

GWO certification (BST, ART, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness).

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
